Top Picturesque Destinations in the Philippines

The Philippines is a beautiful country with which wonders transcends all forms. From white sand beaches to lush jungles, there are so many natural wonders to be explored. Despite my love and hate relationship with this country, I know that I am beyond blessed to live in the Philippines. Our country is rich in natural resources and many of our people are so warm-hearted.

Countless prominent landmarks make this archipelago one of the most diverse and interesting places on Earth. The pandemic has disrupted all my travel plans, but in 2022, I am planning to visit many picturesque destinations that I kept putting off for a while.

Here, are some locations you don’t want to miss while you’re visiting the Philippines!

The White Beach in Boracay

One of the most famous islands in the Philippines, Boracay is a popular tourist destination. Boracay is where the white sand and the turquoise water meet, creating a landscape that’s breathtaking to behold. It has been named one of the top five best beaches in the world not only because it is the perfect location to spend the weekend or the holidays with your friends and loved ones, but of course, it is the best spot to take pictures! You can find one of the most picturesque sunsets in Boracay.

If you’re looking for a relaxing break from all the hustle and bustle of city life, Boracay is the ideal location. It’s also one of the most popular destinations in the country because it’s home to many celebrity hotels as well as boutique resorts.

Tumalog Falls

Tumalog Falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Philippines and is located in Oslob, Cebu. The said falls are fed by rain, so it is best to visit during the wet season. I have been to these waterfalls once, and I want to check it out again now that I live near the area.

Church of Santo Niño de Cebu

Cebu City is the oldest city in the Philippines. It is where the first Spanish settlement was established in the country. This is where Magellan planted a cross and claimed the island for Spain. For this reason, you will find here the Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño de Cebu. In here, you will find the original and oldest religious relic in the country in honor of the Holy Child Jesus.

The church has become a tourist attraction and a must-visit destination if you are in the city.

Quiapo Church

The Quiapo Church or the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene is one of the most iconic landmarks in Manila. It houses a life-size statue, carved from ebony wood, of Jesus Christ. Thousands of people flock to this church during the feast honoring the Black Nazarene. For this reason, many people from all over the world want to witness this religious event.

Tarsier Conservation Area in Bohol

One of the most unique landmarks in the Philippines is the Tarsier Conservation Area in Bohol. The area is home to many tarsiers, which are small animals with large eyes. Tourists can see the tarsiers up close by stepping on platforms that are elevated off the ground. I’ve been to Bohol once, but I didn’t get to explore the Tarsier Conservation Area. I definitely want to check this out when I go back next time!

Having taken all the beautiful photos from your trip, you might want to share with everyone where you’ve been and who knows, someone might be amazed at the places you’ve visited too. To keep your memories of these places alive, you can have your photos printed on canvas to display in your gallery. This is one way to keep reminding yourself that there’s glory in nature, and you are lucky enough to witness it face to face.
