Samsung Philippines invited me again, this time for the new Galaxy Z lineup. Last year's foldables genuinely amazed me, so I already had this one circled on my calendar. Two things had me excited going in: getting to check out the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 as someone who's outdoorsy, and finally seeing the new shape Samsung had been teasing.
As you probably already know, I'm not much of a "new phone" person. I don't get that pull to line up for the latest release just because it's new. So, Which Fold Would Actually Fit My Life?
If I had to pick, it's the Fold8. It isn't the most powerful but it matches how I actually use my phone when traveling: quick checks folded, longer reading or watching unfolded. The Ultra makes more sense if your work genuinely needs a bigger screen daily. The Flip8 makes sense if you just want a phone that stays out of your way.
Yes, these phones are expensive. But looking at what they actually do, I understand why. We're at a point where work, creativity, and everyday life aren't really separate anymore, they all happen on the same device, often at the same time. These phones are built to keep up with that, not just look good doing it.
