Where to Stay in Cebu: Mezzo Hotel Cebu

Where to Stay in Cebu: Mezzo Hotel Cebu

A few weeks ago, my friends, CJ and Flip, and I stayed for a night at Mezzo Hotel Cebu. Over the years of traveling, I have already visited several hotels, hostels, homestays, and pension houses. And I’ve come to realize that each and every one of them has its own pride. One hotel can be proud of its amenities. Others are proud of their strategic location. And others for their affordable rates. Based on my observation, Mezzo Hotel Cebu is proud of a lot of things, but one thing stands out from others – their Barkada Room.

Now, that’s a pretty unique thing to be proud of, but I can assure you, I would feel the same if I am the owner of this hotel. You see, most barkada rooms in every hotel I’ve been to have a capacity of 4-6 people. If you are traveling with more than six people, you are going to have to pay for extra beds. However, Mezzo Hotel Cebu’s barkada room can accommodate 10 people, and in separate beds! Not bunk beds, baby! The room has two bathrooms and includes a breakfast buffet. As of the moment, this package only costs Php 8,500. That is basically only Php 850 per person! This is definitely a perfect choice if you and your friends are traveling to Cebu, especially at the Sinulog festival.

Mezzo Hotel Cebu is a business hotel, but definitely perfect for travelers too. Their other rooms are also as beautiful as that and inclusive of a buffet breakfast. I’m the type of person who usually does not stay inside my room whenever I travel. But sometimes, when I feel like I’ve had enough places and activities for that day, I prefer to stay in a nice hotel for a well-deserved staycation.

Their internet connection is pretty fast too. It was my first time staying in a hotel with Internet speeds as fast as my fiber optic connection at home!

Mezzo Hotel Cebu’s Deluxe Suite Room

Mezzo Hotel Cebu’s Premier Suite. This is by far my most favorite room next to the Barkada Rooms. It is very spacious, and is furnished with hues of neutral gray, cream, and brown colors. The decorative lamps are well-lit, enough to illuminate the room. It is definitely my #bedroomgoals! Haha!

Aside from their elegant-looking rooms, they also have a wide, beautiful function room perfect for any occasion. One thing that I noticed about this hotel is its stunning geometric-patterned decorative lights which are really pleasing to the eyes.

FOOD

One of the highlights of our staycation was definitely the food. We were privileged to be able to try the mouth-watering dishes prepared by the chefs in Mezzo Hotel Cebu during our dinner there. They currently do not have buffet offers for dinner in this hotel yet, but you will certainly not regret ordering this delicious food. I mean, see for yourself. *winks

Cream of beef paprikash and mushroom soup

Danggit spaghetti aglio e olio

Burnt coconut fillet o fish

Grilled Chicken Caesar salad with herb crusted poached egg

Potato Prawns in Cucumber fenced salad

Molten Choco Lava Cake

Strawberry Banana Shake

Aren’t you hungry looking at these foods yet?

If you happen to find yourself in Cebu, and looking for a good place for a staycation, I highly recommend Mezzo Hotel Cebu. It’s a perfect place not only for business trips but also for leisure. In fact, I would say this hotel is perfect for travel bloggers who need to catch up with their backlogs during a trip.

They currently offer their introductory rates, all inclusive of a breakfast buffet for two persons:

Superior Room – Php 2,300.00

Deluxe Room – Php 2,700.00

Deluxe Suite – Php 3,200.00

Premier Suite – Php 4,000.00

Barkada Room – Php 8,500.00 (good for 10 persons)
